About UA Web 2007
The International Seminar on Usability and Accessibility 2007 was coordinated by the Government of Nuevo Leon and the University of Monterrey. It took place July 26 and 27th in the university campus, in Monterrey, Mexico.
The goal of UA Web 2007 was raising the quality of websites in Mexico, promoting good practices and aligning the knowledge and commitments of website administrators.
More than 200 professionals from 26 states and top experts from Brazil, Chile, USA and Mexico got together. There were two days of conferences, workshops and panels on usability, accessibility, information architecture, plain language and e-Government.
The manifesto

The closing event was the signing of the Manifesto on Usability y Accessibilitypfor Mexican Government Websites. This document integrates the ideas of the participants and speakers of UA Web 2007 and has been subscribed by 23 states and 3 municipalities.
Host city
The Government of the State of Nuevo Leon is pushing for the transformation of Monterrey into an International Knowledge City, on the belief that a good use of technology can elevate the quality of life and improve services to citizens.
The University of Monterrey is a prestigious institution with graduate and postgraduate level programs for web usability and accessibility.
