Nuevo Leon's website

The strategy for the state website takes into account the aspects covered in the reporters evaluation and marked as absent in the table above.

  • Emergency numbers: he link can be found within the section Encuéntralo (find it). The link reads Emergencias.
  • Official gazette: The official gazette, named Periódico Oficial del Estado, can be found from the front page by clicking on Temas (subjects) and then on Legislación y Periódico Oficial del Estado (laws and official gazette).
  • Forums: This website does not use forums, but does hold regular chat sessions and polls, as well as public consultations that influence decision making.

Furthermore, the state website is overseen by the Observatorio Ciudadano, a group of citizens that develops study methodologies, issues recomenndations and follows them up for compliance.

Promoting civic participation is a key concern for the state government and the website, and we try to advance it together with other governments. This was one of the reasons to promote the Nuevo Leon Manifesto for government websites, now signed by 23 states and 3 municipalities.

We feel glad that Mexico State, one of the adherents to this document, has just redesigned its website and is advancing in fulfulling our commitment for better websites. This redesign means that Mexico State joins others such ad Jalisco and Nuevo Leon in producing citizen-centered government websites.

All committed states and municipalities now need to advance in this same direction.
